Wow, the latest excuse from Cornyn about Bounty : "Trump can't be expected to remember everything"

This is is Sen. Cornyn’s excuse for Trump about Russian bounties on US troops: “Well, I think the president can’t single-handedly remember everything, I’m sure, that he’s briefed on.” At the same time, Trump campaign running ads saying Biden is losing it.

............................

I think I'd make a point of remembering Russia murdering our troops for paid bloodsport. Utterly despicable that they think this is acceptable and our troops are just fodder.

"People don't understand, I went to an Ivy League college. I was a nice student," Trump told reporters Wednesday. "I did very well. I'm a very intelligent person." Later, pointing to his head, he added: "One of the great memories of all time."

Substitute "anything" for "everything," and he's spot on.

This is shameful...a shameful, sad excuse. That's the best you sick fucks could come up with after your briefing with "the president". How many excuses will they make for this failure? Party and party goals over country, again and again and again. This is a profile in shamefulness. The absurdity of Cornyn's excuse is pathetic. Where is the follow up question of "what if this were President Obama?" Oh, I don't need the answer to that rhetorical question because we all know.

17. Cornyn is up for reelection this year: Having runoff elections for his opponent

Early voting started yesterday. And just like KY we have a woman veteran and an African American.

MJ Hegar, a former search and rescue and medevac pilot with the U.S. Army, ran for the U.S. House in 2018, losing to incumbent John Carter (R) 50.6% to 47.7%. Hegar says she embodies the Texas values of strength, courage, and independence, and would counter partisan gridlock. Hegar's endorsers include the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, End Citizens United, and the Austin American-Statesman.

Royce West, who has served in the state senate since 1992, says he has a long legislative record, citing election governance, abortion, education, and healthcare as areas of particular concern. His endorsers include four of his state senate colleagues and 16 state house members.

They are both good candidates and I'm still unsure which one I will vote for. But rest assured after we have our candidate they'll need our support en masse to get rid of Cornyn the Enabler.
