(3,514 posts)My hope is that there will be a good mix of independents leaning to the Democratic side and discouraged Republicans who don't come out and vote.
Of course, making sure Trump isn't re-elected is critical - but the importance of the House, Senate, and state legislatures is not far behind that.

(1,184 posts)Good news. Hopefully this forecasts the fall Senate race. Kentuckians can be weird, though, by electing Democrats locally but Republicans federally.
I can't imagine Kentucky flipping the legislature altogether, but especially in a re-districting year, it's important that we keep picking up as many state legislature seats as possible.

(12,165 posts)It's great seeing Biden ahead in opinion polls, but even better to see such a strong showing by democrats in the primaries.

(28,795 posts)I've believed this since the beginning because nobody wants a crisis a day. One heinous, corrupt, illegal, immoral, disgusting, heartbreaking, stupid thing after another.
It's very encouraging. Maybe McConnell will lose. That would be a blessing by itself.

(65,042 posts)...that showed 40% approval, but 27% strongly approve.
3 out of 11 polled strongly approve.
There's the base, and it's not likely to erode further.
But, the 13% who "somewhat" approve could slip further. Then, the "base" is what it is, but the overall approval still falls.

(28,795 posts)it seems that somewhere around the 30% mark there are his die hard cultists who think he's god basically and will not be swayed no matter what. not enough to win an election, as long as we GOTV.

(65,042 posts)And convince half of that other 13%. Get approval down to 33.5% and that should even be cheat proof.
