If Romney is going to run the country the way he's run his campaign, are you really going to want to take a chance on that reality?
Seriously, let's look at his campaign so far:
1. Spent more money than any other candidate in history without showing any results (appeals to conservative wasteful spending mentality)
2. Only candidate not to release his tax returns (lack of transparency and echoes of Nixon)
3. Runs away from his experience as Governor and business man because they are politically damaging to him (shows weakness, lack of courage to do the right thing)
4. Sets out on a tour of foreign countries to show statesmanship only to have it fail miserably (total failure of character and even fundamentals of a politician)
5. Chooses his VP to solidify his favorability among people who wouldn't vote for Obama anyway, only then to turn around and run away from the policies that VP supported (failure of strategy, lack of long-term vision or ability to set a course for success)
6. Can't even politically carry his own home state or his VPs home state (again, failure of strategy or ability to plot a course for success)
7. Flip-flops on issues as important as healthcare, even within a few hours, reversing position multiple times on the ACA. (lack of strength and political courage; never know what he really believes; will literally say anything to get elected)
8. Still hasn't defined what he would do as President. News cycle is too busy covering all of these mistakes, plus there is a new major mistake every week (constant blundering and bumbling)
9. Recent uncovering of his own elitist (don't care about the 47%) and bigoted (it'd be easier if he were a latino) statements given at a high class fundraiser is now going to consume the news cycle for another week or more leading up to the debates. These are not statements out of context either. (again, major character flaw, failure as a leader or ability to govern for everyone)
So again, raise these points with Republicans you know and then ask them: if he can't even run his own campaign, what makes you think he can run the country?
I've never seen such an epic fail of a Presidential Campaign.

(14,040 posts)and after all that time running, it's obvious he hasn't learned anything or become a better candidate. Based on that alone, I wouldn't want him to be President.
