... was that since both of his parents were natural born U.S. citizens, then he was too, no matter where he was physically born.

Considering Mitt Rmoney's family history on this 'birth' issue, that he mentions it at all, even 'jokingly', is another example of his disconnection with reality.

i had never heard that someone had to be born on american soil, as has been the implication in the birther bs. john mccain was not born here either. i'm just trying to determine why the birther bs even had legs.

it's not necessary to get nasty.

and then live off of 'refugee benefits' provided by the US government, then later he ran for President, which he could because his parents remained US citizens even when they abandoned the US for Mexico to maintain a polygamous life. Legally qualified, but other than that basic fact, not qualified at all.

as a response to the claims about Obama's supposed Kenyan birth. Happened really quick...nice to be a member of that august crowd of Senators to get a personal bill passed.

they were trying to set up Arnold Schwarzenegger for a run for president. Living in California at the time, there was good reason to think that.
