Two Catholic school athletes who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 16-year-old told police they did it because they thought it would be "funny," according to court records released under a Jefferson County judge's order.

In another ruling Friday, Bisig said Dietrich does not have legal standing to remove the county attorney's office from the case though she can raise concerns about the plea agreement her assailants received.
After Dietrich initially complained about the plea deal the two teens received, Paul Richwalsky, chief prosecutor in the juvenile court division of the county attorney's office, told her "get over it and see a therapist. The jail was for 'real' rapists, murderers and robbers," according to an affidavit released Thursday.

Dietrich's lawyer, Thomas Clay, told the court that Richwalsky gave the teens favored treatment because they were athletes at Trinity High School, where Richwalsky is an alumnus, serves on the reunion committee and supports the sports teams.
This is absolutely typical small-town (or big-town for that matter) authoritarian behaviour. As long as the bullies do well at sports, they have carte blanche to do whatever they want or get a slap on the wrist or their accuser gets in trouble.

i dont know if we "like" to ignore. it just is we are ignoring because we do not want to see the reality of it. the last decade we have walked away from women and girl issues, and these are the results of this. it will get much worse until we get serious and united.
we can see it in our repug party. we can see it on du.
