This was the year FDR became president. The Democrats held the White house for the next twenty years. It led to the New Deal, a progressive movement that lasted many decades. A massive failure by Hoover and the republicans led to this.
When Ike , a republican became president in 1952, he was progressive in many ways. His State of the Union speeches sounded like an Obama speech. I have read them. It wasn't until the election of Reagan that the American people forgot the painful lessons of the past.
When Trump was elected, I said it could bring on this type of event.
This November is going to bring great change to America because the patriots of America will demand it. Trump and the Republicans brought death to America. The patriots of America will vote for life and it will be a long time before they forget what Trump and the Republicans have done.

(3,035 posts)...there is truly no hope. My wife and I thought we might just leave the country if Trumpism remains but no one is real interested in taking in Americans anymore and I can't blame them. We bring the plague...in more ways than one.
