man claims "stand your ground" after arrest for shoving 86 year old out of elevator

Man, 72, arrested for pushing 86-year-old out of an elevator in their Miami Beach complex saying he did it to protect him and his wife against COVID-19

Nachem Gross, 72, faces charges of aggravated battery of an elderly person

Surveillance footage showed him shoving Gerald Steiglitz, 86, out of an elevator in the Portofino Tower condominium causing Steiglitz to fall backwards

Gross's attorney claims he was protecting himself and his wife from COVID-19

He says it was a 'stand your ground' case and both Gross and his wife have health conditions which make them especially vulnerable to the virus
The condo association's rules around social distancing say only two people should be in the elevator at a time
Gross turned himself in to Miami Beach Police at around 9a.m. Thursday
He was booked and has since posted bond and was released

as he was worried about covid. He also runs to check up on him after he falls. He did screw up and was totally stupid to shove him back but if it were me, I would just want an apology and then let it go.

open your mouth and explain what is going on. It's not that hard but it seems the trumpyears have taken a toll on civility and communication.
