Ryan Goodman: Do voters want to re-elect a president likely to be indicted in 2nd term in NY state?

GREAT point by Ryan Goodman, former DoD special counsel and co-editor of JustSecurity.org:

Important by @NormEisen.

Yes, SCOTUS kicks it to lower court where it'll take time to address subpoena-specific arguments etc.

But, does American electorate want to elect a President likely indicted in a second term in state of New York.

He's commenting on a tweet from Norm Eisen there. I found Goodman's reply thanks to the response from Eisen to what Goodman said:

Thx @rgoodlaw. This is a disaster for Trump & a victory for rule of law. Slowness of process should not detract from that.

Supreme Court has ripped away the fig leaf--how can Trump justify withholding taxes?

That & his coming prosecution will be a daily issue in campaign now.

If they want to run a candidate that will be under indictment at some point. That's where this is headed.

Paging John Kasic & Nikki Haley. Please pick up the red phone.
