The Mandatory Abortion Negation and Ultimate Protection Act, or MAN UP has been filed by Congreswoman Lisa Burrwood, a Democrat from New York. The bill would force the man responsible for an unwanted pregnancy to undergo a mandatory vasectomy as well as a prostate exam if the woman chooses to enforce it. “For the first time, women should be allowed the choice of holding a man responsible for an unwanted pregnancy. This also means that man will never put another woman in the same position,” said Burrwood.

“We’re working on an amendment based on the many strict anti-abortion laws in the country as well. If a state chooses to make abortion nearly illegal, men in those states would have to get their vasectomies without the aid of anesthetic,” said Burrwood.

“This is an outrage. How dare these women think they can control what happens to a mans body,” said Congressman Steve King (R-IA).

“There has only been one time in history where a pregnancy happened without a man involved so it’s time to MAN UP,” said Burrwood.
