and not as direct cash payments. More likely they would be disguised as real estate transactions with shell corporations within other shell corporations. There won't be any entry on a schedule that says something like "Loan Payment - Vladimir Putin."

I have confidence that New York is already prepared to probe those haystacks. They expect that since they've, no doubt, seen this type of thing many times over.

The theory that Trump keeps two sets of valuations - one for lenders and one for taxes - seems to make the most sense.

... be valuation discrepancies galore, and some investigative effort might reveal that real estate deals have been fraudulent and perhaps involved the laundering of foreign money. But none of that will be apparent. Someone will have to look well beyond the returns to reveal any actual criminal activity.

The ONLY reason Тяцмр has fought so hard To keep his returns out of the public eye is because they will reveal he is a mediocre millionaire in debt up to his eyeballs - not the billionaire he claims to be. It will independently prove he is a sham, and he will have no explanation. What’s he going to say? “I really AM a billionaire, I just lied to the IRS”?

That will screw him with a pretty good chunk of the base.

He's valuated property low and high in the same year. One value for tax purposes and another for insurance. It's going to be like throwing a dart and always hitting the bullseye, imo.

Time will tell.

Meantime, all the speculation so close to the election is another blot on him. That's helpful in itself.

But I do believe that bringing the lies to light is what they'll be looking for. One example is the speculation by authorities that he used the hush payment to Stormy Daniels as a business expense. That one small speculation is a doorway to the investigation.

And I believe he wouldn't be able to resist claiming interest payments to his "chief investor" as tax deductions. Recently it's been speculated that Putin bought Trump's debt.

So who knows what he's claimed as interest deductions. It sure is fun to speculate as he squirms and whines today.

Steele has said investigators should look at a possible guarantee of loan payment. That would not be shown on any tax or financial papers. Other than internal records at the bank. It is an elegant way to bribe Trump if bribery was needed.

Fraudulent P & L statements on real estate in order to evade taxes, and perhaps gain a refund. False depreciation and "carry-over" losses. You know it will be a bounty for forensic accountants.
