How can so many Democrats, DU members, on July 9 2020 still be undecided? I don't get it.
-We are in the midst of a pandemic. 130K are dead. Newest model shows 208K by November.
-Hospitals overwhelmed and short on supplies.
-Our economy dying and it will never be what it was.
-The world hates us and may never trust us again, thanks to trump.
-Children in cages.
-Our Constitution in tatters.
-BLM finally getting through to people that Black Lives DO Matter and trump will try to destroy that at any cost.
- Blatant Corruption in the GOP from the top down. They are not even trying to hide it anymore.
- Trump all by his lonesome pitiful self has made us a shithole country.
We are Democratic Underground and founded by Skinner, EarlG and Elad to elect Democrats. We elect Democrats.
We have only one Democratic nominee and that is Joe Biden.
I want my country back. Our ONLY Democratic candidate can do this.

(51,137 posts)I didn't even know there was a place to indicate a candidate until recently. It seems it was originally for the Primaries forum.
where did you get the information that many members of this site are undecided?

(83,815 posts)Is it really all that important that we all declare our preference on an internet discussion board?

(32,017 posts)99.9% of them will vote for Joe in November, but they want to remind us that they would have preferred another candidate.

When the choice was clear and the primary forum closed, I think the automatic default was to change everyone who didn't already have Biden as their choice to "Undecided".

(7,813 posts)I kept it undecided during the primaries. I did my part in voting, but I just never took the step here to declare my preference.
No worries - I will crawl over broken glass in the desert heat for 10 miles to vote for Biden.

(7,813 posts)Several of your posts today have been like that.*
Does this happen sometimes and I just didn't notice before now?
* That's okay - the posts have been good enough to read twice.
Will try making it once this time. My mouse stutters once in awhile.
Figured it was something like that.
My index finger does the same thing once in a while.

I ran into a problem 30 minutes ago where the navigation buttons and the refresh did not show up. Since I have a brand new IPhone, I figured that I was doing something wrong on it. I looked at an attached video in a post, when I came out of that the buttons and refresh were working.

(65,090 posts)I forgot there was even an option in the profile.
I just checked mine, and it's Biden.
But, had I had a different choice in February, I guarantee that until this thread I would not have thought to change it.
I might even have been undecided during the early primaries, but still wouldn't have changed it.
Hard to change something I forgot existed.
So, I think there's questionable science behind your conclusions.

(6,148 posts)I haven't changed my profile. It says Bernie. I didn't think it mattered.
At any rate, one datapoint is 96-0 for Biden. Hope that clarifies things.

(14,923 posts)By the time I did - I might not have seen it as I quickly put some stuff in the profile, so I could plunge into reading posts. I was sort of desperate to have more polititical discussion!
And maybe because it said Primary?
Anyway I would have voted for EW. Also liked Julian Castro, I was concerned about KH's prosecurial issues but liked her too. Those 3 come first to my memory.
