(5,519 posts)You know, early on, I was very worried that all the money in the world would BUY this election for the undeserving Rmoney.
Now I truly believe that President Obama doesn't need any money to win this election, because he has a soul.

(90 posts)Found this wonderful site over a year ago. Being from a "red state", it is so refreshing to find many people who have the same thoughts as me. This being such an important election, had to join DU so I could talk with all of the lovely people on here.

(10,000 posts)If he apologized, or equivocated, the teabaggers would have spat at him.
Now there is no doubt: it's straight-up class warfare. There's no "I'm a uniter, not a divider" or "I'm a compassionate conservative" nonsense. Rmoney has thrown his lot in with the t-bagger/wingnut side of the party, and basically said that serving soldiers, vets, wounded warriors, Social Security recipients, Medicare recipients, and any person who has had the audacity to be sick or poor are lower than the dirt under his feet.
Barack Obama's job will be to beat Rmoney in the debates, and otherwise keep-on-keepin' on as President. Our jobs, in addition to making certain we're registered to vote, voting, and doing whatever we can to support the campaign, will be to:
1) Keep throwing this up in Rmoney's face at every opportunity, and make certain that everyone realizes that this statement is just as stupid and outrageous as anything Michelle Bachmann or Sarah Palin have ever said.
2) Express outrage that Rmoney/Lyin will replace Medicare with coupons.
3) Loudly ask "Where the Hell are Rmoney's tax returns?" His own father said that a candidate should release them. if he won't take his own father's advice, I can only imagine that he has something to hide; I can only imagine that whatever that is must be felonious; and I seem to recall felons can't hold office.

i`ve known two of them for 55yrs and we do`t comment on each others political posts. one of them is a retired policeman drawing a city pension and military benefits. his wife is drawing social security and medicare.oh yes he`s the chairman of our county`s republican party.
several other of my long time friends post other anti obama stuff and they too have been silent !

(634 posts)We have to make sure that the country understands that this is the republican platform. This position should sink every repug in every race. This is not just romney making another FUCK UP. An Obama win means nothing if we are stuck with another gop congress.
