In civil court for all his lies and misleading medical claims , like the virus is a hoax, untested drugs for the virus, and making false statements on it he knew were false causing harm to people? That should be suggested for their trying to force children back too soon, and threaten lawsuits and hold them legally responsible in a civil court for damages. Discovering what they really were doing would be damming for these corrupt politicians.

(16,616 posts)One thing I've been wondering, too, is whether governors can be held liable for disregarding the CDC guidelines, especially in situations where they have overridden the authority of towns and cities that want to implement guidelines. To make up an example, if DeSantis forbids a small Florida town from having a mandatory mask policy, and that town gets an outbreak--could the governor be sued?
I hope you get an answer to your question.

(15,650 posts)go after him with wave after wave of class action lawsuits tied to COVID-related torts as soon as he is out of the WH. Do to him what he repeatedly and has always done to others; destroy him with overwhelmingly relentless legal harassment and cost. If nothing else, make his life miserably focused on nothing other than trying to get out from under the stifling personal burden associated with defending himself in legal warfare. If lawsuits achieved that alone, I would be happy. I would be gleeful if, as a direct result, he dies miserable and, better still, broke.
I heard earlier in the week that he had once again iterated that he would release his taxes when the "routine audit" is completed (he actually used that word -- routine). How long has it been? No less than 4 years now. Routine?! ....
It strikes me that this is part of how he never pays taxes. He submits returns that are so obviously flawed, but also so convoluted they require months if not years to navigate and pin down by the IRS. And then he has his lawyers twist the IRS and courts in knots by using every conceivable legal and not so legal argument and tool in order to refuse to cooperate with and then outright fight the IRS on every little detail, every step along the way. There is no end. The IRS is never able to conclude (at least not while he's in the WH). In the never-ending end, its cheaper for him than paying taxes.
Well, Fuck Him. We need to return the favor and do him the same -- relentlessly.
