How many of their people need to die or be permanently disabled before they are willing to stand up for them.
I'm betting as many as have, are, and will be hurt by this virus for as long as Donnie is calling the shots in Washington.
It's all about profit, and Donnie's reelection.

To us, the cases and the spreading are the problem. To Trump, the reported cases are the problem. It cannot be understated how self absorbed he is or how inept he is at fulfilling his own selfish needs, an endeavor also hampered by his laziness. He is not working on the virus in a bad way, he is not working on it at all. What he is working on is not looking bad, and failing at that. The enemy in his "war" is the news about the virus.

As much as Trump lies, this is one of those scary times when he tells the truth, at least the truth that exists in his warped mind.

in order to have good image management, he has to DO SOMETHING that creates good visuals. But he just yells, "Fake!" That's it. There's no actual work being done. There's no acceptance that a pandemic is killing off hundreds of thousands. There is only "How do I look?" And how can I take the media's attention and turn it all in my favor? Again, there's no effort to solve a problem. The effort is to gaslight the public into believing that he's winning while disaster and tragedy are exploding all around him.

"Cases" for him are seen entirely through the lens of how they affect TRUMP. The egoistic thinking of a 6 year old which seems to be the single entirely consistent thread in everything he says and does. It doesn't matter if half the country dies, the only thing that matters is how does it affect MEEE.

As someone else pointed out, he never took this virus seriously, so all his decisions were made with the thought in mind that it will just blow away.

1) He allowed China to come in and take our PPE supply.

2) He allowed infected people to be repatriated without giving them proper testing, or proper protection for those who greeted them.

3) He did not join the coalition of foreign countries that was sharing information and would have given us testing instructions, instead of forcing us to reinvent the wheel.

4) He did not Nationalize the unified response to fight the virus. Instead, he delegated to the 50 states.

5) He undermined any effort that the Dem governors were making by forcing business openings. The Republican States, that are still following his policies are facing huge spikes and hospitals that are in crisis.

He knows he is going to jail, or is going to have to flee the country in order to NOT go to jail. He also knows he is losing. Bigly.

The only way he does NOT got to jail or does NOT have to flee the country is to NOT lose. For him to NOT lose, there must NOT be an election.

The virus, in his narcissistic mind, is how he can, as a last resort, cancel or negate the election.

He has other strategies, like the October surprise of HOW WONDROUS!!! I HAVE THE VACCINE!!!, or the invalidation of the election as RIGGED! RIGGED! RIGGED!!!, hoping his knuckledragger mouthbreathers will surround the white house and guarantee that he is not removed... Not realizing that WE would surround his band of nazi, white supremacists in much greater numbers, and the cowards would fold the house of cards they are.

He IS an imbecile. But he has his calculators, Miller and Bannon, and of course Putin, calling the shots. His goal is to be the new, oligarch level of rich, dictator of the new satellite state of Russia (USofR), or to cause the complete collapse of this democratic experiment.

It is not going to end well for the turd.

His SOLE positive contributions to the future will be the words bigly and convfefe. They will be a source of ridicule and humor, probably ending up in the dictionary.

Oh, and TRUMP will be synonymous with LOSER, FAILURE.

That's how it works. His term of office will be over. Even if the election results are still being disputed.

The Secret Service will escort him out of the building. He will legally be a private citizen. And I hope US Marshalls and/or NY State police will be waiting at the gate with handcuffs.

As the potential pandemic was identified, and initial spreading was happening with cases popping up on cruise ships, instead of doing what a real POTUS (President Obama) did and get TSA teams setup at all international airports to check the temperature and question potential of exposure to passengers coming in from countries with outbreaks, he instead just chose to ignore it and call it a hoax.

We still would have had outbreak here, but better control in the earlier days would have GREATLY reduced and slowed down the initial spread.
