republicans. And that is the major impairment as its really a mental health issue to begin with. Delusion is an affliction. We have those who are deluded to the reality and facts.

to me that is a mental illness

... biggest reason I see people hanging onto Trump they don't want to admit they were wrong how about after putting all that effort into saying they were right

Yes. Admitting that they were wrong is really hard... not to mention that they aided and abetted the effort to weaken and ultimately destroy our democracy as well. Hell I wouldn’t want to admit it either. We can’t let them forget it.

I always experience cognitive dissonance when I comment on anything I am not an expert in or when I speak hyperbolically.
And my expertise-such as it is- is very limited.

This is why in the balance I end up not commenting or commenting very briefly on stuff that I cannot offer an expert opinion on. I usually end up going for actions supporting whatever my net take on something is-like voting/voting with your wallet/resources.

I mostly end up deleting all my own posts here outside the science forum... . I am not retracting the views...it is just that I cannot sustainably engage in any public commentary for long.
