He should fire the costume designer for this latest stunt.

This will end like all other things they try to get away with, get called on and then back off of.

Just wish there were consequences to the shit they are pulling - perhaps the consequence does come when they realize as you said, there are a lot more of us than there are of them.

Or, simply in November.

7. I believe that his actions will harden the opposition to him.

Decent people, whether they are liberal, moderate or conservative are being revulsed by Trump’s actions, the disregard for the rule of law, the often open appeal to racists and haters. Those people appear to inherently realize that society and social order as has existed can’t for long survive Trump’s behavior and absolutely won’t survive if Trump prevails and future politicians emulate his behavior.

I knew a conservative ex-Marine who fought in Vietnam. A decent, quiet and charitable person. He ignored the open appeal to racism and the darkest elements of a person’s soul that Trump telegraphed in 2016 and voted for Trump. Now, each day for him brings shame and worry as he now realized that Trump won’t grow into the job and become a larger person. So, a person like him, if he can’t bring himself to vote for Biden, will sit out the election, and I see that as a win for the democracy that he ignored in 2016 as he was lured in by a grotesque conman.

10. I've Said It Here A Number Of Times - We Can't Have It Both Ways......

We hear that Trump has dementia and that he is stupid and like you said "can't put a coherent sentence together". Or is he the stable genius he claims he is?

Just look what he's pulled on us over the last 4 years and most of his life for that matter.

He can't be both.

He's gotten away with everything - including impeachment. He's got the whole of the Repug Party afraid of him and marching to his orders.

Somehow he eludes all repercussions of his actions.

I always imagined what would this country look like if the mob somehow infiltrated the government and ran things their way. I thought that this scenario would make good fodder for a book or movie.

Now I believe we're living that scenario.

Don is the 'Don'. Making an offer you can't refuse - lest you wind up with a horse head in your bed.

I'm thinking that a lot of dead horses and horse heads turned up in beds over the last 4 years.

Trump is the face-man for something far more sinister.

The Republican Party is held together by some very dark secrets.

You can't rise to the top if you don't have some really nasty shit in your closet.

The less visible people who know those secrets call the shots.

14. Is Stephen Miller involved in The Lincoln Project? How about Bob Barr? Mitch McConnell?

It's not as though the Republican party has one and only one super sekrit power club.

eta - I answered tersely and didn't mean to sound quite so crabby. I also didn't really address the Lincoln Project issue. Apologies for that. I think that the current short term goals of the Lincoln Project dovetail with Democratic desire to get rid of trump. We are not 'on the same side' with TLP and never will be. When trump is gone, TLP will likely level the same deadly attacks at Democrats as easily as they have done against trump. It will not be pretty.

A US Attorney, who works under Barr, publicly called for an investigation into masked police kidnapping people off the streets. What Trump is doing will be cheered by some, but it will turn far more people hard against him.
