but the problem with the vouchers is you dont get the check until weeks after your appt so it really doesnt help you to get to your appt.

A country that doesn't take care of it's veterans has no business making new ones.

My dad was in your exact same situation with his VA claim. They dragged and dragged. Then the congressman's office had a little chat with them. Amazing how fast it came through.

So odd reading your post. I swear my dad could've posted that problem with the Va word for word.

I have called my congress critter. Shelby and Sessions are my senators and Mo Brooks my Congressman. I have contacted brooks office at least 30 times and gotten no where. I called Shelby's office twice, the last time being two weeks ago. I called monday to see if they had heard anything and they said it was to soon, to check back in 4-6 weeks. HELL thats no better than the VA. So now i dont know what to do. I thought about writing Obama but Dont know if he would ever see it.

They are spearheading the efforts on behalf of veterans. I'll betcha one of them would actually see the letter.

It's really too bad that that is rare enough to earn angel status. As long as I can help, I will. It's just right action. Period. I'm a communitarian and this is one of my communities/families and you are a family member.

It's so hard for me to wrap my mind around rugged individualism. It seems like a folly at best and an evil at worst.
