while you were bravely risking life and limb riding your fucking bicycle around France, trying to convince French people to stop drinking wine; I was kicking back in the A Shau Valley. I got nicked twice, Mitt. The first one was not much more than a flesh wound, but the second one damned near punched my ticket. I wound up at Walter Reed AMC, getting a little free health care and sucking on the government teat.
And can you believe it? Afterward, I was so fucking useless that I actually took advantage of my VA benefits and the GI Bill. I gradually healed, and thanks to the docs and nurses became as good as new. I went on to use my GI benefits to graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in education. (I got my Masters in Education from William and Mary on my own dime.)
I taught for 32 years, retired, and now substitute every day. By the way, I paid taxes in every one of those years. (Care to prove that you have done the same, asswipe?)
Kiss my ass, Romney. You're a lying, pampered, privileged, elitist, smegma smear. Nobody likes you, and nobody believes a word you say.

(12,545 posts)No one stopped Romney from going to Vietnam. Hell, that scumbag supported the war. What a fucking jerkoff. He needs a boot shoved up his ass. Fuck him and his off shore tax dodges. And for all of us who used the GI bill to get out of the stigma attached to Vietnam, Hey Mitt Romney, go fuck yourself.
How long would Mitt have lasted in Vietnam before he was handed a radio, map, compass and binoculars? And if that didn't work...................
The arrogant dick head just gets me torqued up.

Thank you for your service to our country, and in addition to that you have contributed to our country as an educator.
Romney is a nobody. Take away his money and his assets..and leave him with his brain and just the clothes on his back..then who is he? A big ZERO.
Thank you for your post.

(18,124 posts)I salute you and I second the sentiment toward that rethug nominee. I am a forced retiree. Serious health problems or I would try to work somewhere, I can't. But I'm part of that 47% also. Social security and a small postal pension. I must be a real drain on society. Vietnam 68-69 AO around Saigon, Long Than, Zuan Loc, Bearcat.

(2,682 posts)but, I think my story puts me in the 47%, too. My parents were not wealthy but were comfortable. Both my parents worked. I got my first job babysitting when I was 13. When I was 17 I went to work on weekends in a real estate office. I had neither the grades nor the money to attend college but I worked and took classes whenever I could. I got my first job in a law firm as a secretary and set out to read all the state law books in the office. My next job, I started reading case law. At my next job, my employer had faith in me and promoted me to paralegal. I continued to take classes (all at my own expense, by the way) until I became proficient in my work. I was asked to teach the paralegal studies program at the University of Washington which I did for five winter quarters. I then got a job with an engineering company and after 13 years, I retired at the age of 63. I'm now living on social security and medicare. Apparently all the years I worked, paid taxes and took classes to better myself count for nothing in the Romney world because, you see, I never got rich.

Did pretty much the same thing only back wards, and they missed (not through any particular skill on my part), aircrew on C130 out of Tan san Nhut, beans and bullets delivery boy. Did 25 years with the AF, and taught in the southside. Just don't qualify for the 47%, because, like you, I've payed taxes the whole time.

(36 posts)If Mitt and Company take power they'll probably make wounded war veterans pay for their time recuperating in Walter Reed. Retroactively! And that military service disability? Puts them in the 47% of freeloaders in Mitts world. This new generation of Republicans will kick you when your down.
