"I have to protect the American people. That's what I've always done...That's what I'm about."

This FAKE goody-two-shoes act by 45 makes me want to absolutely spew. Nearly 150,000 dead, 4,000,000+ cases of COVID in the U.S. alone. And NOW he acts like he’s everyone’s protector-daddy. Anyone with a brain, i.e., NOT 45’s supporters, knows this feeble gambit is on display ONLY because his poll numbers are tanking fast.
From today’s New York Times:

The president’s advisers have urged him to treat the virus as if he were a governor overseeing the threat of a hurricane — offering gravitas and taking the situation seriously, but assuring voters that the storm will pass.

it's INCONVENIENT for me, this flareup, I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE MY CONVENTION HERE. OOPS, need to pretend I CARE about the people. PROTECT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, THAT'S WHAT I'VE ALWAYS DONE.
