Biden's VP choice -- Have you heard anything?

There was a brief comment on one of the Sunday talk shows that Biden will announce his choice for VP this coming Saturday, August 1st.

I know he said "in August",
and I see nothing new online.

and announce the pick right before or during the convention.
There's no good reason that I can see to announce the pick before that. I'm pretty sure the pick has already been made.
