The awkward catch others have captured from this event came, amusingly enough, from Rivera's first toss to Trump, which was very soft and underhand, like he was worried about Trump muffing it and which ironically seemed to make it harder.

Bottom line for me is, I don't see a lot of point to pretending Trump can't throw a baseball. I'm sure he lied about his high school/college playing because, well, he's Trump. The self-aggrandizing lie is his first option in every circumstance. Being able to throw a baseball is no qualification for being president.
