Ted Yoho stated he would not run for re-election in 2020 because of a promise... But....

In December he said this:

"I ran on a pledge to serve four terms - eight years and come home," he said in a statement to supporters. "Many told me I was naive and they're probably right. I was told the district has changed three times and so the pledge isn't binding and I could rationalize that. However, I truly believe a person's word is their bond and should live up to their word. I also meant that after eight years I will come home and pass the baton onto a new generation. Now, I am doing that."

His FEC filings on June 29, 2020....

"Yoho has filed a statement of candidacy form for the 2020 election with the Federal Election Commission. He has quietly raised $10,500 this year and reestablished his Ted Yoho for Congress committee."

Didn't our favorite Concerned Senator say something similar? Two terms and then I'm out?

There's something about that nice paycheck, the benefits, and the power that seems to be addictive.

Promised repeatedly he would never seek re-election when he was running for president, lost to Trump in the primary, then decided to run again.

twenty-some years ago was made under GOP rules, i.e., "just kidding!"

His motto has always been "Whatever the party leader orders is what I believe!".
