Editor's note: An earlier version of this graphic mistakenly reported that Biden had made his VP selection. We regret the mistake.

from the campaign though.

But we will see soon enough whomever is chosen. I prefer Harris, but let's make the pick and get to work.

Why the quote, if it was a mistake? They release that they will announce next week the pick (meaning they already made the choice, imo) and then politico "mistakenly" releases a press release early with a "quote from Joe", it just seems a little odd, to say the least.

Either way, all the current runners are awesome and I am behind it 100%.

Go Joe!

Designers often use fake quotes to make sure the text will fit in the design. Common practice.

Harris notes at the top of the paper Biden was using today and no one else appeared on it?

It may not be Harris, but I think the answer is already known at this point if he's announcing it next week. It's just either waiting for the right moment (next week) or doing final checks to make sure nothing comes out that wasn't vetted.

the media has these type of stories written in advance so they can quickly fill in the name/date/time/cause of death/quote from someone when it happens and publish quickly.
