history made in his lifetime, is absolutely baffling. He made that statement because someone had to explain it to him. What baffles me is that the fall of the USSR created huge capitalistic opportunities. And he assumes that if he doesn't know something, no one else does.

And that the Soviet Union simply ceased to exist. Well, sort of, for now, anyway. I fear that Putin's plan is to reconstruct it.

The look of confusion on his face would have made for priceless viewing. Of course, perhaps he would have 'fled the interview'.

There is little doubt that much time and effort is involved in trying to bring him up to speed on the most simple of subjects. A single coherent, yet meaningless, sentence is the measure of success.
