(13,195 posts)The times I've seen her on video, she seemed very knowledgeable, quick on her feet, and witty. I also like the way she writes.

(13,431 posts)The right will turn the Biden administration into four years of Benghazi nonsense and it will destroy any momentum we have for dealing with COVID-19, its massive economic and social challenges, not to mention blunting the case for the de facto Dem nominee in 2024, which Biden's VP surely will be.
Duckworth is a far better choice than Rice; but there are better choices than even Duckworth, simply from an electoral and turnout perspective.

(13,431 posts)And yes, the Repubs will hammer on that for the entire Biden administration and the media will be more than happy to oblige them. We don't need that. I'm sorry that Rice is associated with that mess but as a country we cannot afford enabling that sort of nonsense. Rice should not be VP.

Tke the ht and turn it around. What it does is make it an attack on the Obama administrations foreign policy vs Trump's. It actually opens a whole can of whoop ass the the Republicans' will want to avoid for years. Its old news and can be sluffed off on Hillary who is a big girl) as much as required.
It puts a downfield blocker in front of Biden for all attacks coming from that direction. It is the single best move Biden can make in that respect,

I'd be happy with Duckworth, but Harris is my first choice. I still haven't come around on Rice. Obviously she's brilliant, but she strikes me as more of an advisor than a politician. Maybe because that's always been her role.

(8,066 posts)She sure would turn off republicans if even democrats didn't like her.
She did a lot of things as atty. general in California that sucked. I don't like her at all.
Having said that; if Biden does pick her, I'll support her as if she was my bff.
