Brewerton, N.Y. – Among the dozens of private boaters who declared their support for President Trump during a boat rally Sunday on Oneida Lake, one boat clearly was not privately owned.

An Oswego County sheriff’s patrol boat flew a large “Make America Great Again’' flag emblazoned with Trump’s image during the Flotilla for Trump Sunday near Brewerton. Several uniformed deputies manned the boat.

The flag featured an image of Trump’s face and showed him making a thumb’s up sign. Across the bottom of the flag is the slogan Make America Great Again.

Sheriff Don Hilton has not responded to emails and phone messages seeking comment.

Many police and military are rabid Trump supporters. I would say many of the heavily armed non-police, non-military are also rabid Trump supporters.

I highly encourage all Democrats to arm themselves before it is too late.

and a grilled cheese for me. Or maybe it just looks similar to some other place where we went.

We took a really great day trip to Sandy Island Beach State Park early last fall, and we drive through the county to get to the Adirondacks.

At least the local officials seem to be taking this seriously, including the Republican Legislature Chairman James Weatherup. https://www.syracuse.com/news/2020/08/oswego-cos-top-legislator-trump-flag-on-sheriffs-boat-violated-policy-against-politics-on-taxpayer-dime.html

This was a clear violation of laws and policies. Still, I'd be scared to get a traffic stop while driving through there.
