As per CNN (Friday, July 31), Carolyn Maloney will be certified the winner tomorrow by the Board of Elections. That has been public knowledge since Friday. Trump is already trying to sow Democratic Party division and doubt by calling for a "do-over".

Furthermore, it was not a "small race": There were 400,000+ absentee ballots. There are 718,000 people who live in that district. That's more people than who live in the entire states of Alaska, Wyoming, and Vermont. If NY-12 were a city, it would rank #20 in population, with Boston at #21. Grandpa Ranty should know all this: Trump Tower is in the district.

It was a mess...but there is a lot to learn from this race, including how to proactively prevent snafus and problems in the upcoming presidential contest.
