(26,045 posts)Trump's approval rating has stayed within a narrow band of 37%-44% practically since taking office. Like it or not, I see that as meaning he's got a floor of around 37% MAGAts/racists/fundies/whatever who'll support him through thick or thin, and another 7% of people for whom an apparent improvement in performance matters. The chance that he'd lose a yuge chunk of that diehard base overnight is practically nil.

The actual approval rating is probably around 30%.
