(8,965 posts)USPS flat shipping rates are the same across the board. If privatized for profit, isolated rural areas would take the brunt of price increases.
in the past when they tried to close down rural p.o. the people that lived there had a fit. It wont be any different now.

Oh, and oddly they vote largely for Republicans. This is going to be extremely interesting to watch play out.
