I couldn't disagree more strongly. You don't think it makes sense to start the chart where Obama started? Besides considering it to be a perfectly valid way to present hard data, I am also a Democrat and I agree with the message.

Here's an illustration that I think is from the book. Both charts display the same information.

This is from the book:

I’ve been yelling all year that those who think Trump created a strong economy are simply ignorant of the facts and the truth needs to be pounded over and over!

They could also make one about the numbers of Americans with or without healthcare. It went up under Obama/Biden and has been under relentless attack by the rethugs since it started. Still waiting for 45's great idea...any day now...a lot of unemployed people may be losing theirs and, God forbid we offer them Medicare or Medicaid. Probably lots of health problems and/or bankruptcies on the horizon. All this winning..........

the wealthy, and blank checks so that he looked good in the short term...leaving terrible problems for future administrations and citizens.

Clinton said it wrt Reagan's economy: anyone can make an economy look good by writing blank checks. But it catches up in the long run and not only costs more but quality of life suffers. Obama's economy was real, with policies that balance long term health with economic reality.

Come on dems...don't rely on just the pandemic to criticize Trump's economy...it was all smoke and mirrors anyway.
