Walmart releases schedule for its parking lot drive-in theaters

News) Starting this month, Walmart begins transforming its parking lots into drive-in cinemas.
From Aug. 14 through Oct. 21, there will be 320 showings of popular movies at 160 stores across the country.
After 5 p.m. ET Wednesday, families can sign up for a location near them at TheWalmartDriveIn.com.

(182,942 posts)Other side of the river. The drive in near here is doing quite well. You have to get there 2 hours early though. I think they have marked off areas in the grass that you can sit in. We havent been yet.

(29,676 posts)I live in a college town with a Walmart and people get stupid in the parking lot. I'd guess putting the no alcohol stipulation will make it easier to have the idiots removed.

(11,114 posts)the only locations are in Rogers and Springdale, in the extreme northwest corner of the State. Sure, that's where Walmart is headquartered but come on. How about showing a little love for the rest of the State?

(11,114 posts)If there weren't signs, you would not know when you drive from Rogers to Bentonville. Walmart still isn't showing a lot of love for most of its home state.
