(2,520 posts)My mom is in assisted living. Test for residents and employees have come back with false negatives and false positives. One resident had a positive test, was sent to the hospital and had two negatives, was sent back and had a positive followed by two negatives.
I saw my shadow and am going to hide for the next 6 months.

(13,783 posts)... certainty, but it's a huge plus for testing populations, as in a manufacturing plant, where you can test everyone frequently.

What happens if a person gets exposed two days after the test? The test might be useful for a fixed and isolated population but leaving work every day exposes people to a wide spectrum of conditions.
