I changed my avatar from our flag in distress to Kamala Harris

I feel great about her. She is going to put many things behind us. We will finally have a woman Vice President who I’m positive is prepared to step in if something happens to Joe Biden. She is a major blow to the racist problem that our country is burdened with. She is a great representative of the makeup of the people of this country. She is one of our modern women who are strong advocates and who have taken on rolls that have been historically filled by men. Like so many strong women she doesn’t let men tell her how she should behave or what she must do. She is a formidable personage and seems fearless. She is a strong woman, completely comfortable in her own skin with a generosity of character who everyone can identify with.

She is exceptional and one of a kind while still being the every woman, representing all of us. Someone to aspire to emulate not only as a professional in the full sense of the word but as a generous human being.

3. It's great to feel hopeful isn't it?!

I woke up this morning feeling really rested and calm, feeling completely calm and happy and then I remembered yesterday and I realized it’s the Kamala Harris factor. When I came to DU I didn’t feel any dread. I feel great!

but America is very much under duress until that fascist bastard is GONE; keeping my avatar until January at the very least

I still feel our flag is in distress and will be until Trump is Presidentially neutered.

But then I felt like rolling up my sleeves and sticking my middle finger in Trump’s and his minion’s
faces. Fuck them.

I plan on making a better one soon, but this was my quick hit.

You got a nice picture there.

Yesterday was the first time I’ve felt hope in a long time. Three and a half years, to be precise. Someone said it was like a light had been turned on at the end of a long, dark tunnel. That is exactly how I feel! It’s nice to be excited and hopeful about the future again!

ETA: But I went with the wingnut (obviously) not Kamala. I’ve been feelin’ kinda nutty lately so it suits.

Plus, will ring my big bell in the back yard only with our victory. It's been silent for 3 1/2 years.

I do believe the tide has turned. Trump is dead meat though he doesn’t know it. He’s gonna squeal all the way out of the White House doors, but he’s leaving.
