This is me. By Brown's standards, I am an even whiter-guy than he is.

This is my father. He named me 'Kiowa'. Literally. That is my name. Sorry it is not more 'white' like 'Scott' or something.

Do you need to see my papers Mr Brown? It is people like you that likely caused me to become a Democrat in the first place. I grew up all the time with people telling my father he needs to cut his hair, go back to the reservation, making 'indian noises', Dances-with-wolves references, etc.

From a mixed bag of everything with a chunk of Cherokee (whew) to offset my pretentious French, my Stubborn German - and serves a nice balance to my african and Irish blood.

I love when I see pictures like this - my dad has quite a few from when he was little african american boy in Alabama in the 1940's - with the Grandmama and Ole' Ma (his great grandmother) in particular - in her traditional dress.

Some of us have AWESOME family pictures - just like this!

Cherokee/Scottish gg-grandparents, white-looking son married light skinned AA/Muskogee/white girl, their daughter was a blue-eyed blonde. Also had a genealogy poster of grandma's side of the family that started in 1777 listing former slaves in the family tree. A guest whom we were just getting to know (and now ignore aggressively) came over and expressed her shock that I was willing to admit my heritage! "No reason to let this get out--you look completely white! How can you and not be embarrassed?"

Embrace your heritage! Love makes a person beautiful, no matter what skin-tone your genes carry.

As for Brown's lame ass performance last night, what in hell did he expect? Have Warren come out in freaking feathers and a jingle dress for crying out loud?!?

I posted last night that I was personally offended by Brown's remarks and I live in Michigan. We are the ORIGINAL "Papers, Please" population. Brown is just another rich, clueless, White guy who thinks he's entitled to tell others who and what they are.

Brown is one passive/aggressive mofo, isn't he?

If he had longer hair and was "dressed the part" I don't think I would doubt his heritage, even with his light-colored eyes.

It's interesting where I live, a lot of Cherokee fled up here to hide out during the Trail of Tears. But there are definitely physical features among a lot of the people here that make you wonder.
