Ann Romney is sick of you people not understanding how hard it is to be Ann Romney
by Kaili Joy Gray
Ann Romney is once again up on her gold-plated cross, and she's got another message for the ingrates out there who don't appreciate how hard it is to be her:
During an interview early this evening with Radio Iowa, Mrs. Romney directly addressed her fellow Republicans whove criticized her husband.
Ann has told "you people" time and time again to leave Mitt alone, stop asking questions, and just be grateful that he's willing to run for president. Shut up and show a little appreciation for the Romneys and their willingness to make the ultimate sacrificepassing up constant $30 million-a-year job offers, even though "poor guy, he took no pay when he did the Olympics for three years and no pay when he was governor for four years."
She's tried to make women get it:
She's tried to make Latinos get it:
...It really is a message that would resonate well if they could just get past some of their biases that have been there from the Democratic machines that have made us look like we dont care about this community.
But no. You people just won't let up, with the mockery of the Romneys' car elevator; with the questions about all those millions stashed away in secret bank accounts; with the outright disgust at Ann's tales of woe about struggling to survive on Mitt's inherited stock portfolio.
But you peopleyou women, you Latinos, you Democrats and now you Republicansjust don't get it. You're so mean and classless with all your questions and doubt and disgust. Heck, that's why Ann so astutely noted:
Ugh. You people. You just have no idea how hard it is to be Ann. Just stop it.

(5,842 posts)If Mitt loses I wouldn't be surprised if Roger offered a contract to Ann.
She would serve basically the same function...to serve as an aggrieved white woman who was denied her chance at Washington power by Obama.
FOX would gladly hand her a four year contract so she could be perpetually petulant and whine about how unfair it is that she's not in the White House all because of the unwashed plebes that didn't vote for Mitt (or McCain in Palin's case). That was basically Palin's schtick since FOX sure didn't hire her for her insightful and detailed political analysis.

No, Annie. You wanted to try it and you got in the ring. Now that you just can't handle it, is that my fault? I don't think so.

(28,811 posts)when i read it i just silently added "into the ground" but on second thought you are absolutely right. the romneys have no concept of serving.
A HERETIC I AM
(24,376 posts)They DO have a concept of serving and they don't like it, unless it is performed by someone else FOR them.
What they don't understand is SERVICE, particularly to the country, something the President and Mrs. Obama do completely.
Remember, Ann thinks we are being done a huge favor by her husband running, so we need to just shut up and accept it.
barbtries
(28,811 posts)i almost elaborated when i posted. i meant service to others of course. bottom line they are really terrible people.

Change. Damned few I've met are as arrogant and out of touch as they are.

(12,754 posts)it is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitts qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.
Not serve the country. Not serve the people. Not work with Congress. "Run the country." Sounds a little dictatorial to me.

(29,503 posts)or in essence, that's what it sounds like - not as an observation of fact, but as a means of squelching complaints - and not just frivolous ones; ALL complaints, regardless of merit.
I would imagine that she's just about one of the worst people to work for, and I don't think I'd consider it for a single second. Well, I guess if I needed it bad enough, but I would not enjoy it. And she'd probably like it that way, after all, The Help isn't supposed to enjoy their work; in Ann's world, if your employees like their jobs, you're doing something wrong.

(9,385 posts)And then she can tell us all about how compassionate that is. How compassionate and caring is that Chinese sweatshop, Global-Tech, the one that employs young WOMEN under gruesome conditions? And tearing apart viable companies here, devastating families and communities so the Mittster can put their livlihoods in his fat wallet somewhere in the islands to avoid paying TAXES on it? He's nothing but a cheesy smash-and-grab gangsta in a niced-up suit.
What a nerve!

(95,337 posts)He really should use Ann sparingly because I think we're all getting fed up with her Marie Antoinette spoiled rotton persona.
She is not someone who I would want to meet with foreign dignitaries because I suspect she would look down upon them and treat them with glib. I know I've never been a fan of some former GOP first ladies but I never saw Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush or Laura Bush treat people with such disdain (outside of the comment that Barbara made to Katrina survivors in the Houston Astrodome but then she wasn't a first lady anymore).
She comes across to me as a spoiled rotton woman who was probably raised that way and thinks the whole world should be handed to her on a silver platter. I'm guessing Anne doesn't have too many friends outside of her own immediate family.

(27,985 posts)to not look down on everyone with disdain, and even so, Barbara screwed it up plenty of times. Try to remember back to Hurricane Katrina and what she said after touring a Houston shelter. And speaking of Barbara, she didn't even give up the booze while carrying GWB - scary thought, but he might not have been a moron if he didn't have fetal alcohol syndrome.
Ann sucks, but those two ladies are not two to contrast with her. They are of the same exact ilk.

Because if it is, that might be whey Reid said Romney paid no income taxes. Those might be the years in which Romney paid no income taxes, perhaps no federal taxes at all.
Just a guess. Anyone actually know?
Is that really a quote from her?
