Something to think about.

Romney is running on lowering taxes for the wealthy, yet he adjusted his tax return to where he would be paying more than required...doesn't this negate his reasoning to cut taxes on the wealthy? Because All Americans can see, even he knows 9% is obscenely low. Even he is ashamed of it, to manipulated to a greater number.

Ask yourselves, This man spent his entire life, creating tax shelters, aggressively taking every tax loophole he could find to pay the least amount of taxes. Cayman, Bermuda, Switzerland, all to avoid taxes...yet this time...he adjusts his return to pay more. Why?

I sat here and thought, what would be the reason for me, to adjust my taxes so I would pay more than legally required...So why is he doing it, why now? Who is he trying to fool? Lipstick on a pig, really doesn't change the fact, it's a pig.

this is like watching a James Bond movie, where the villain Romney Goldfinger has a Swiss bank account with a
Cayman Island hideout.

Hollywood itself could not come up with a story line like this.

to pad the numbers. It totally negates his argument for further tax cuts. Romney believes in Redistribution, from your pocket to his Swiss bank account, and there is no trickle down in the transaction. Its the biggest money scam in history. We pay them to be moochers.

4. my husband, who is a Democrat, sees his paying more (temporarily) as an honorable thing

In other words, believe it or not, he's willing to consider the possibility that Romney paid extra taxes in order to keep his word about never paying less than 13% (or 14%, I forget). TO KEEP HIS WORD! MITT ROMNEY! I know, it's too funny, but he doesn't read political websites or watch MSNBC at night.

He is even willing to give Romney the benefit of the doubt instead of assuming, like everybody else in the the entire world knows, that Romney will just file an amended return after the election.

And this is a lifelong Democrat who feels this way. So I hope that Obama's spokespeople are ready to address this sweet, naive way of looking at Romney's craven manipulation of his taxes. It is too ridiculous for most of us to believe that Romney could have been telling the truth about past years but suddenly, magically, in 2011 would have been eligible to pay only 9%... but there are, even in my own home, people who are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. (I'm working on him )

consider it a loan, he can re-claim it in the next year's tax return. And still get a bigger tax cut via the ones he would sign into law...its a scam, to pluck the money off the poor, to their bank accounts overseas.

Or look at it as an investment. That is how he sees this election. Vulture capitalism, except this time the corporation they are feeding off is the country.

...could you tell him that I have some historic waterfront property in Brooklyn and Manhattan that I need to part with (at below market value) due to a short-term liquidity problem? Choice properties right on the shore, with a scenic span between them, with direct access to some of the toniest neighborhoods in the city! A real bargain!

He should act fast, though. A Nigerian heiress has expressed interest as well.
