On a bike ride yesterday along the Ohio river

I took a break by one of dams and locks completed in 1965 a series of dozens of dams were all built in that era, huge project. During the same period we built the interstate hyways. That was a half century ago. Has there been any other infrastructure projects even close to that magnatude built since? I can't think of anything? We even built our space program in that period.
