will believe anything he says. They will take up arms for him. He will say one thing to the "public" and send another message to his cult followers - there's no making sense of it.
He's a little bit Charlie Manson and his followers are "The Family". He's a little bit L. Ron Hubbard and his followers are "Scientologists". He's a little bit Keith Raniere and his followers are "NXIVN". He a little bit like Jim Jones and his followers are "the Peoples' Temple". He's a little bit David Korish and his followers are the "Branch Davidians". etc, etc., etc.
It's all about them vs. us. They are the chosen ones, and the Democrats are evil. Trump says we're evil. In the trumpian's minds their dear leader has declared us to be the enemy.
So that's a tough one. Listen to anyone who has escaped a cult. Or anyone who has "seen the light" and left a cult. The mind control is insidious. Truth and logic really has nothing to do with their reality. Their only truth and reality is that dictated by Dear Leader.
So what do we do with that? Recognizing it for what it is, is one thing. Ex-Trumpians coming out against him is effective. It would really help if John Kelly would speak out against Trump.
I couldn't do this, but my brother was able to get our trumpian father to start watching CNN, in addition to FOX. He was able to slowly get our dad to start questioning.
I truly believe in Harvey Milk's theory: "Every gay person must come out. As difficult as it is, you must tell your immediate family. You must tell your relatives. You must tell your friends if indeed they are your friends. You must tell the people you work with. You must tell the people in the stores you shop in. Once they realize that we are indeed their children, that we are indeed everywhere, every myth, every lie, every innuendo will be destroyed once and all. And once you do, you will feel so much better".
This is a bit rambling, as I try to make sense of a dangerous, difficult reality.
