Why is Chuck Todd giving over a huge portion of his show to this? Is Clinton going to get a chance to rebut Romney's comments?

(20,043 posts)is this supposed to be a campaign speech? I don't think Clinton would have introduced him if he knew he was going to do this.
This very underhanded..
And what the fuck is with the lip smacking?
edited to add: I obviously missed something. Ok, so it's Prez Clinton's Global Initiative, and Romney gave an assist, so of course Clinton would introduce. Tepid at best. Also, Prez Obama will also be speaking later which means Clinton will introduce him, watch that introduction--hehe and he'll have a chance to rebut.
Next time I'll pay closer attention.

(6,960 posts)I suppose they are giving Rmoney equal time because MSNBC will cover Pres. Obama's UN speech.

(32,086 posts)If I understand correctly, Little Lord Fauntleroy is speaking to the Global Initiative. That's Clinton's organization. No way Bill will let the BS stand.

(9,494 posts)rant about creating jobs in the Middle East. Maybe he intends to pull all is investments out of China and open sweatshops in Syria instead.
That's it! He and the Koch brothers see the Arab Spring as the fertile ground for their next slave labor force!
Maybe he is more evil and smarter than we think!!!

(12 posts)speech scares the hell out of me. More neoliberal garbage. Spreading the glories of capitalism all around the world. That simply means make a bunch of little China's over the world to produce the crap we need to consume despite the fact it will plunge that country into deep poverty and wealth inequality.

(86,005 posts)With President Obama's speech at the SAME forum later today, the balance of the event will certainly go to our pov more than it will Romney's. Speaking later will also give the President a chance to directly rebut whatever bull Romney lays down. I'm sure Clinton will take the opportunity after the event to weigh in, also, so I think this is a pretty sharp move, overall by Clinton.

(13,616 posts)Rmoney can buy a hundred pulpits, but one question must be asked, why the HELL did the folks at the CLINTON event allow him to steal a podium, at THEIR expense?
No, I do not think Bill is happy, yes he has played kissyface with GOP, but even he knows this is an election year, and that if Rmoney wins, Hillary 2016 is compromised.
I love Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes, and Melissa Harris, but as far as rest of MSNBC, they are not reliable to put it KINDLY. I lookforward to the day when someone finds out Joe Scab did kill an intern, and I will write my senator to reject the death penalty for him, but only so that he has a lifetime of sleeping with one eye open in a jail cell.

(86,005 posts). . . with President Obama speaking later today at the forum. Romney goes first and Pres. Obama gets the last word. Clinton will, undoubtedly take a crack at Romney's remarks, afterward.
