Romney Campaign: Public Polls Are Wrong On Ohio
Romney campaign manager Rich Beeson said that the campaign's internal polling shows a much closer race in Ohio than the public polls suggest, according to a BuzzFeed story Tuesday. On Tuesday, a Washington Post poll showed Romney trailing Obama by 8 points in Ohio.
"The public polls are what the public polls are," Beeson said. "I kind of hope the Obama campaign is basing their campaign decisions on the public polls... I have great faith in our data."
Their data, he said, shows Romney "by any stretch, inside the margin of error in Ohio."

BuzzFeed points to one possible reason for the discrepancy:

BuzzFeed points to one possible reason for the discrepancy:
A campaign aide told BuzzFeed that their internal Ohio polls use a sample of "D+5" meaning, Democrats represent five percentage points more respondents than Republicans. Most public polls are closer to D+8, or D+9. This could explain why the campaign believes the Ohio race is closer than is being reported.

The 2008 exit polls for Ohio: D-39 percent. R-31 percent. I-30 percent.
Still, Mittwits: Our data show Mitt isn't losing by that much!

(25,415 posts)1. Is Mittens using unskewed.com polls now?
Even if the weighting was a bit less Mitt would be down say 4 points as opposed to 8 points in the Washington Post poll. Mitt, you are still losing!

(12,461 posts)3. We don't need no Public Polling....
We don't need fact checkers....They are living in an alternate reality. They could not run on reality. So they created a evil Obama, (empty chair) and they made up a campaign based it. Facts? What's that? Polling data? What's that?
Yet they believe the majority of the American people are hooked into their alternate reality...They are coming off as kooks (which is a good thing)
