Got that people? The Romney/Republican ideal: say whatever horrible thing you want then lie about it. Scott Brown is a stain that should be removed.
Scott Brown Denies Making Remark About Elizabeth Warren's Ethnicity
During the first Massachusetts Senate debate between Sen. Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren, the incumbent Brown said to the audience that, "Professor Warren claimed that she was a Native American, a person of color, and as you can see, she's not."
Earlier this summer, the Brown campaign repeatedly attacked Warren, a Harvard professor, for being listed as Native American in a university directory. But whatever Warren's ancestry, Boston reporters and others expressed surprise that Brown claimed to discern a person's lineage just by looking at her.
Yet when asked about his Native American-detection abilities at a press conference Tuesday, Brown denied ever having made the statement about Warren. Watch the video above and decide for yourself.

(52,166 posts)African Americans have been in the 90's, Jews in the high 70's with gays in the mid 70's. Union households are in the mid 60's with pro choice voters in the low to mid 60's. Latinos have moved with Gore and Kerry in the high 50's low 60's to Obama getting in the high 60's.

(4,359 posts)but there are lots of rich gay peeps who are just as greedy and business-friendly that they can justify voting republican for their pocket-book.
Or, more likely, there are just some dumb-ass gay people out there who are too stupid to see how they are being used for their vote.

(61,703 posts)You seem to be claiming that until the advent of HIV, most gay people voted Republican. I sincerely doubt that. We've been fighting for our rights for a long time and my guess is that we've been voting Democratic in very large numbers for a long time.
In case you missed dsc's point, the vast majority (70% or more) of gay people vote Democratic. That is a much higher percentage of gay folks voting Democratic than straight folks. Approximately half of all straight folks vote Republican.
Sure, there are "lots of rich gay peeps" who are "greedy" but there are many more "rich straight peeps" who are "greedy" and vote Republican.

(4,359 posts)And I am saying, most of the gay republicans I personally know, could not longer vote republican after they saw how the republican party treated people with AIDS. In fact, 100% of the gay republicans I know, left the republican party over that issue.
So, for me, log cabin republicans are actually worse than ever because of the attacks on aids funding...their membership in the republican party condemns people to greater risk for HIV.

(61,703 posts)And I agree that the Log Cabin Republicans (and the even worse group, I forget their name, the gay Tea partiers) are appalling.

(4,359 posts)One of my friends, gay, 42, recently out, eagle scout, had a Rush Limbaugh book on his bookshelf when I met him. I shamed him for two years to no avail... and then there were some really nasty cuts to aids funding and that was that. rush went away and he became a very awesome democrat.

(52,166 posts)since the last election before AIDS hit was also the last election in which the parties had largely the same positions on gay issues (Carter v Ford). The parties have since diverged radically on lgbt issues.

Sadly, their base doesn't even care.
Still, rational independents may. Putting it all in one video would be awesome. Maybe it's out there...I'll search later.
