3 million Americans march in Washington DC to protest......What?

Take all current events, past history, personalities etc. and extrapolate a reasonable scenario where millions of Americans would march on Washington DC. It's happening in Greece and Spain right now. What would it take to happen here?

Much smaller countries, population closer to capitols, and U.S. history of demonstrations very different, Revolution, Vietnam, MLK.

We already know the GOP is trying to steal the election. What if they succeeded and it was blatantly obvious. That might do it.

that anti-war mass demonstrations movement could have won if it had not been distracted and stopped by election cycle and Kerry campaign. Hard to say for sure, but maybe so...

A war with Iran would put a lot of people out of work once gas prices start going out of control. Nobody would be buying anything, which means producers would cut back production and begin laying off workers in large numbers.
