"Trouble With The Curve"

I liked "Million Dollar Baby" and "Gran Torino" so I had every intention to see "Trouble With The Curve". Now I don't... It's not Eastwood's politics that made me change my mind. I have seen movies with Andy Garcia, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Robert Duval who lean right. The difference is they didn't go out of their way to disrespect my president.

and because I'm aesthetically irked by the typography used in the title on the poster.

and because that negative space is created on both sides of the "T" in Trouble, it all seems out of balance, and not in a good way that might serve to illustrate the Curve's "trouble." A minor point in consideration of a film, but one that troubles my design sensibilities.

I know that last bit has become his signature thing. But I can't get the image out of my head, with him pointing a gun at a black guy - wanting to pull that trigger.

Like we needed that to be impressed upon some nutjob out there.

anything about politics, let alone that he was a Republican a-hole.

It's something about his always-the-same squinty expression and gruff, raspy delivery. Yeah, I get it, Clint, your character is a real tough guy. And that character is too. And that one. And that other one. And the next. Rinse, lather, repeat. Snooze.
