Very hopeful but according to Harrison on MSNBC McConnell just dumped 20 million into the race. That is 20 million he didn't spend somewhere else.

SC is so damn regressive. I glad this seat is even close.

(4,673 posts)about SC. I lived there for a brief time decades ago. It was great to see Harrison looking close, but I was doubtful SCians would fail to come home to Graham. Im surprised Mitch thought Graham was in danger, or else the coming wave has him wanting to make sure of already pretty sure things.

(2,331 posts)Arizona and Colorado being two of the places. I expect they are funneling money into Georgia and South Carolina they may have reserved for those states.

(1,278 posts)How does a campaign spend $20M in 2 weeks time in a state of ~5.5 Million People? There are 6 TV markets that cover the state, the largest being my home market, Charlotte. I don't get it, unless it's to pay/bribe some locals. #Isitjustme

(10,885 posts)I live in RI and see their ads here every night. Obviously we can't vote for them, but they are looking for out-of-state funding, and they're getting it.
I've donated to seven out-of-state candidates this term, and Jaime is my #2 in $$$ after Biden/Harris.

(4 posts)I have donated so much to Jamie Harrisons campaign, I am now in his top 1% of donors. The interesting part is I have never stepped foot in South Carolina.
And honestly, when it comes down to it, it doesnt matter. Every person in America deserves health care, food, clean water, and an education. Period.

(19,264 posts)it also opened the floodgates to 7 other close races.
I think Harrison can win but it will be a longshot. It is possible the blue vote in SC is just a bit below what is needed even with good turnout. Between VA, FL, NC, SC, and GA the last of the former solid red states on the east coast SC is by far the most conservative easily 10 points more conservative than the nation.
Still I am hoping for the upset.
