I think Romney DOMINATED the debate, rather than winning it....not the same thing

The lack of moderation let him run all over the place, but he really had nothing new to say and comes off like an insufferable dick.

Also FACTS MATTER!! He was lying all over the place and just plain MISREPRESENTING REALITY!

which means a dominating personality. An alpha. And broad, general principles that allign with theirs. They're not following a billion here, a study shows that, a trillion for this....

Vagueness worked for Romney in this instance. Obama concentrated on minutiae...most people don't know minutiae. When Romney did mention an actual fact (and it was ALWAYS a lie), Obama didn't call him on it strongly.

Remember how Obama supporters were wanting him to take a strong stand against the obstructionists, but he didn't or wouldn't? Same thing tonight.

Hey, I think Obama is a great President. I don't think he has to be a caveman. But a lot of people in our patriarchal society want a strong "daddy."

Go ahead, Sir, after that lying bastard stole all the Dem ideas and pretended he was a Democrat, except for taxing the rich, you deserve a smoke. You can always quit again next week.

Tonight was a wasted opportunity, if not an affirmative blow to the reelection campaign.

This isn't going to a panel of judges that will be accounting for rules, validity, or veracity but rather to a lot of people who are pretty much doing an eye test.

Getting dominated in this arena is not a winning formula no matter how utterly full of shit and hopped up the other guy is. You are trying to attract a pretty fickle sliver of the electorate and control the media cycle. You do no favors giving the any thought that the opposition is an equal. The people tend to be impressed by an aura of command in an incumbent, appearing Presidential is what one strives for when they are seeking the office, a different vibe is called for when you've done the job for four years.
