(6,664 posts)And was. He also said (and I'm paraphrasing) that his team isn't stupid, they will review this and change their strategy if they feel it's necessary. He reminded us that there are two more debates plus the VP debate. And that Romney was passionate, sure, but didn't say anything specific.

(2,391 posts)If Obama needs to attack Willard on anything in the future, he should. I don't think he needed to do so tonight. Not until the fact-checking reports come out in the media tomorrow. If they clearly state all of Willard's lies, why play into Faux's false image of Obama as "angry?" He was calm, knowledgable, and presidential. Willard was none of those things. Did people's memories of the "47%" video suddenly disappear because of this debate? Did seniors forget what Lyin' has planned for SS and Medicare? No and hell, no.

Meanwhile, CBS instapoll gives the debate to Romney by 48-22, and the percentage who agree that "Romney cares" jumped from 30 to 63. That's about as bad as it can get, and I don't know if Obama will get a chance to turn it around.

Personally, I think the President will be fine.
