That should be the title of tonights debates.
Tonight I saw a very stark contrast, A President who carried himself in a respectful way, and an asshole who decided ignoring the rules and shouting down the moderator was the way to win points.
Now I know the Pundits are shouting Mitt's Victory, but I believe that's a temporary High.
Let's be honest what good would have come from a Debate that was a Shouting Match. I believe Mr. President did Properly object Romney's lies and Fairy tales. But more importantly he used his time to talk to the American People, to let us know he was concerned about us.
Mitt Romney told one lie after another after another and in the days to come that will be revealed.
As Our President Said tonight Mitt is running on a plan of "Nevermind" as in Nevermind all the lies I told yesterday, today you get a new batch of lies.
I guess I am of the 25% that considered this was a loss for Romney.
Tonight I saw two stark choices
an Asshole and a Gentleman
I will vote for the Gentleman every time!

people might have thought it would be fun to see a dog fight, but there is a double standard President can't come off as the Angry black man.
Also his fight is not with Mitt Romney. His battle is with getting people to the polls. Honestly it doesn't matter who the Repubs posted to run against the President. Let Mitt Fight the Wind who cares. The President spoke directly to the voters.

(8,084 posts)why declare someone a winner who couldn't follow the basic rules?
we need a leader that can be respectful, image this hawkish attitude with Putin, or Iran. i get that he wanted to come off as strong and take over, but from my seat, he came off as angry. And we don't need an Angry unhinged president.

(297,611 posts)I didn't see the debate and have no idea what was going on with Pres Obama but from reading reactions it sounds like Romney was being himself only on red bull.
I just knew he would go all out with his lies..he's been setting up the debate with statements like this..
Towards the end of the interview, however, Romney looked ahead to the upcoming debates and said he'll have a challenge to deal with: "he president tends to, how shall I say it, to say things that aren't true."

(690 posts)he gave a lot of facts in the few minutes that he had and Romney lied, I was very displeased with some of MSNBC reporting. The "REV" was the only smart one.
