The sad fact about last night is the President could have put this election away, he didn't. Now we

have to work that much harder to refute the lies

The debate was the place and the opportunity to do so, and it really wasn't done. Forget about the different styles, leaving lies unanswered is NEVER a good thing.

If we are on a progressive forum as DU, and the majority here are troubled, in spite of our bias and knowledge of how high the stakes are, that tells me we have a lot of work to do.

Hopefully, Biden will be able to offset some of the damage done last night, and there was damage done to us. For the next several days the headlines will be that romney won the debate, they will not care that the substance was mostly fiction

His lies were not subtle. They were obvious. My wife isn't very political, she doesn't follow it nearly as close as I do, and she was going crazy with each lie he told.

If she was picking up his lies that easily, lots of others who aren't all that political did too.

on the debate "victory"

As far as the romney camp, he will now move right to the center, and indicate that was always his position without a blink of an eye

The media will not help us, it will have to be a lot of political ads, which mean a lot of money to counter those lies

was not called on them.

How would he have responded if his reversals, contradictions, and lies were confronted last night?

They weren't, and is a problem. As for the romney camp, now they will just move to the center and continue as though this was always their views, and it won't be the MSM that will point out the hypocrisy but it will have to be us through political ads, which are not cheap
