NPR pissed me off with their pre-debate coverage

Listening to NPR and they were giving a bunch of air to some pundit claiming "the race was really close" and "the platforms of both candidates are nearly the same"

Although Obama has a healthy lead over Romney, and various wheels, gears and springs keep coming off of Romney's campaign almost daily, I think it was the 2nd claim that made me really angry. You see, Obama's platform is supposedly the same as Romney's because they both want to create jobs, and reduce the trade deficit, and they're going to focus on the economy.

You got that? And also, they both like puppies, and pie.

The fact that Romney thinks he can accomplish those things with supply-side economics, destroying the social safety net, and 2+2=11 is apparently not an important difference to mention.
