About last night. What matters, what doesn't.

Looks better the morning after. Like a bad first date you went to bed, alone, chewing nails but by today you realize you don't really have to date that guy again. Romney is not going to win.

Real Clear Politics has seven toss up states. NC VA FL IA MO NV CO. Romney has to win them all to "win" (would be a tie but House would give it to him).

Nate gives Obama a 87.2% chance of winning NV, for instance. RCP average has Obama up by 5.2% in NV. Do you really think one debate changed that? The very worst thing that happens this year, IMHO, is a mirror image of 2000: Romney wins the popular vote but Obama wins the college.

Our team performed badly last night. By which I mean left leaning commentators. I must admit, I only watched a few minutes of MSNBC after the debate. Matthews who I've loved all year pissed me off. As did Ed. But they were expressing what I was feeling. I bet by this morning they too have put things into perspective and are able to report, as Krugman did, this is not about the theater. It's still about substance. That's what we liberals are all about and hate about the right. Yes, Reagan was an actor but he was not a good president for gawd's sake. If MSNBC is still whining about theater today, they are off my team.

As someone reminded my yesterday, remember Mark Twain's quote: I am an old man and have known a great many troubles but most of them never happened.

Right on spot. They reflexively caved. Old habits die hard.

Mitten's sleazy car salesman speed lying delivery will NOT win him any votes in Ohio. Ohio, Mic hagen, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, under the bus. What he said in '08 to the auto industry can't be Etch-a-Sketched (though, he has tried, LOL)

Not Obama's performance.

Not gnashing and wailing about Obama.

Ed, Rachel, Tweety, all should have jumped on the lies FIRST.

In my opinion, their hysterical reaction was immature and unprofessional.
